Nearby Sharing
If you used AirDrop service in Apple products then you must have some idea about Nearby Sharing. And if you don't know that,
Nearby Sharing is a new feature that releases by Google for Android users. It comes in 2019 on android phones. Nearby sharing helps you to share photos, videos, links, and any type of files between two android phones.
If you want to on the Nearby Sharing to share then you should open Bluetooth and location in your android phones.
The sender and receiver should be close so that they can transfer in a better way. It cannot send files to people who live far away.
Nearby Sharing works on only Android 6 and above. It can't work on those phones who have lower android versions.
Nearby sharing share files online as well as offline. It shares files with more strong and secure connections. I like his interface and instantly sharing way.
With just two or three clicks, it shares files between two android files.
Set-up Nearby Sharing
Turn on Nearby Sharing
- #Step1: Go to Setting of your Phone.
- #Step2: Go to Google.
- #Step3: And then go to Device connections
- #Step4: And then Go to Nearby Sharing
- #Step5: And turn on Nearby Sharing. If the Nearby sharing is off.
Take Nearby Sharing in the Status bar
- #Step1: Scroll down the status bar: Go to the status bar where you got all icons like data icon, Bluetooth icon, flight mode, and many as you know.
- #Step2: Go to the Edit menu: There is an Edit menu to edit the icons in the status bar so click on it.
- #Step3: Drag the Nearby Sharing in the Status bar: There you get a nearby sharing icon so, drag the icon in the status bar that becomes visible to you and then click Done.
So, this process is done. But, if a nearby sharing icon is already in your status bar then jump on to the next step. Let's jump on to the main step.
Transfer files by using Nearby Sharing
- #Step1: Select the file: Select the file that you want to share and then click on share.
- #Step2: Click on Nearby sharing: And then click on Nearby sharing and then click on turn on and for turning on, you should need to turn on the location, Bluetooth and Wifi, and then he started to search the nearer device.
- #Step3: Click on Nearby Sharing in Another device: Go to another device in which you want to receive the files. And then go to the status bar and click on Nearby sharing and then click on turn on and for turn on the Nearby sharing, you have to turn on the Location, Bluetooth, Wifi, and then he visible to the nearer sender device.
- #Step4: Select your receiver device: In the sender device(First phone), the receiver device(Second phone) is visible if you keep both the device close to each other.
- #Step5: Start sending the files: And then select another device in your first phone, and then accept the files in another phone, and then he starts sending in another phone.
After sending the files you can see the files in your gallery. So this is the whole process that helps you to share the photos and videos by using Nearby Sharing.
